Privacy Policy
Last updated 3 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit anastasiaramlall.com or work with me, why, and what rights you have over it. The short version: this website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising trackers, and I only use your details to answer you and to make your clothes.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Anastasia Ramlall, fashion designer, Grand Baie, Mauritius (βIβ, βmeβ). You can reach me about anything in this policy through the contact form on the home page.
I handle personal data in line with the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 and, for visitors and clients in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / RGPD).
2. What I collect and why
When you visit the website
Like every web server, the server hosting this site automatically records technical information for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system.
- Why: to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix problems.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- How long: deleted automatically after 14 days.
The fonts and images are served from this website itself, so loading a page does not send your data to Google or any other third party.
When you use the contact form
You give your name, your email address and your message. The website does not store them: they are sent straight to my inbox by email, and the server keeps no copy.
- Why: to reply to you and, if you wish, to discuss and quote a project.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- How long: up to two years after our last exchange, unless the enquiry becomes a commission (see below) or you ask me to delete it sooner.
When you become a client
For brand projects and personal commissions I may hold your contact details, body measurements and fitting notes, design briefs and sketches, photographs taken during fittings, delivery address, and invoices and payment records.
- Why: to design, produce and deliver your garments, and to invoice them.
- Legal basis: performance of our contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligations such as accounting and tax rules (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- How long: measurements and fitting notes are kept so that future pieces fit you, and deleted whenever you ask. Invoices are kept for as long as the law requires accounting records to be kept.
Photographs of you or of garments made for you are never published, on this site, on social media or elsewhere, without your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
3. Cookies
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, tracking pixels or fingerprinting. That is why there is no cookie banner.
4. Who else handles your data
Your data is never sold, rented or used for advertising. It is shared only with the services needed to run this website and my work:
- OVH SAS (France, European Union): hosts the website and its server logs.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France, European Union): delivers contact form messages to my inbox and keeps a delivery log.
- Google (Gmail): my email provider, which stores our correspondence.
- Where needed for a commission: production workshops, couriers and my accountant, each receiving only what they need.
Links to Google Maps and Instagram open those services only if you click them. Their own privacy policies then apply.
5. International transfers
I work from Mauritius, which does not have an EU adequacy decision. If you write to me from the EU, EEA or UK, your data is transferred to Mauritius because it is necessary to answer your request or carry out the contract you asked for (GDPR Art. 49(1)(b)). Google may also process emails outside your country, under the safeguards described in its own privacy policy.
6. Your rights
You can ask me at any time to:
- see the personal data I hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct it if it is inaccurate;
- delete it, unless I must keep it by law;
- restrict or object to its use;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw any consent you have given, such as for publishing photographs.
Send your request through the contact form. I will reply within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Office of Mauritius or, if you live in the EU, EEA or UK, to your local data protection authority (for example the CNIL in France or the ICO in the UK).
7. Security
The website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Client records are kept to the people who need them and protected by passwords.
8. Children
This website is not aimed at children under 16. Garments for minors are commissioned by and discussed with their parent or guardian.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.
